Bought the Harley packable rain suit for both of us. Works real nice. Heat shields work. Always have it along and use it for wind gear if the temperature gets to cold.

for the summer I use Frogg Toggs, when it gets colder we have nitro's the frogg toggs are light don't take up a lot of room in the bag's and you dont sweat in them, and now they are cheap when we got our first set in the early 90's they were over $100 now on sale at bass pro they are less than $30

That's what I thought until the wife and I got caught in a real rain last year. The Frog Togs are OK until you get into serious rain. By the time we got home we were both saturated.

Get the HD stuff and move on!

I bought the Harley Gore Tex after my steam cooker experience in the NC mountains last june, in and out of storms and showers then full sun my cheaper rain suit had me wetter with sweat than if I'd not worn it I think (would have smelt better to) The Gore Tex breathes and is a lot more comfortably than any rain suit I've ever had...pricey, but if I had spent the money on it to start with I'd been ahead on money lol!

Do yourself a favor and spend the money for Harley rain gear. I've tried others and it was a waste of money. Harley stuff is made for motorcycle riding not standing around in the rain.

I have the HD Overpass top and pants. They don't fold as small as the cellophane stuff but they do not flap in the wind, do not burn on your pipes, and have kept me dry in some real gully washers. They fit over your leathers and the hood goes under your helmet thereby eliminating any water from running down your neck.

I use the HD HI-VIS gortex rain suit. , I bought it at Deadwood in 2009 during the rally. Rode on I90 at 75 in the pouring rain , didn't get wet at all and good to be able to been seen.
