What do y'all think of this bike and price? I talked to the dealer a couple of days ago and, as of now, they are not bending one bit off that $10,000 price. Granted, this bike has low miles, but it's still a 2000.
For a couple thousand more, I could get an 05 or 06, right?
I wouldn't pay that much for a 2000, there's several 09 RKs on ebay in the $13-14K range. Granted they have higher miles than the 2000, but I'd be just as worried about a bike that was only ridden a little over 500 miles a year, sitting around that much isn't good either.
you can always look at a private party sale---the guy who has just bought a new bke will be more interested in moving on and making room than making money- which is the only objective the dealer has.
unless you are in a position where you need to finance through the dealer
ps how lazy of the dealer to cut and paste the factory specs and description.

I got into a 2006 FLHRCI, Bassani 4" slip-ons, "HO..G." board inserts-brake pad-shifter pads-grips-highway pegs, chrome passenger board covers, detachable backrest/luggage rack, 1pc Mustang touring seat, and stage I tune. +All the stocker stuff for 12.5K. Had 20,000 miles but got EVERY document on the service. It was on consignment and spoke with the owner before purchase.
From the pics the scooter looks VERY clean. I think it's all in what you are looking for and how much your budget is.
5 years ago, I'd say go get it but in this economy its a buyers market. There are some good deals out there if you're willing to look a drive a bit to get one.
Make your offer and leave your phone number. Don't go back to look at it again or to see the other cream puff that just happens to get traded in the next day.
When they call, make up an excuse like I'm going to look at one that my uncle's neighbor has.
for $10K that is a nice bike. In my opinion they never drop that much anyway.... I believe that bike is worth every bit of $10k, what can you get for less? Nothing with HD on it for sure...... Just my .02cents.
