You can pull back the front part of the seat cover, Then cut into the foam with an electric filet knife...cut at an angel from front to back only about an inch or so deep straight back stopping where the seat turns upward...DO NOT REMOVE this section. Fold this back and then from the foam that is exposed cut out about an inch or two(what you think will help you reach the ground) of foam keeping as straight as you can, remove this and then fold down the top section you first cut...that way the original shape is kept, strech the seat cover as you restaple it. The seat should look the same except it will be an inch or two lower. Iv'e done this to a couple bikes and it works great....I hope I explained it well enough.

Hey your back is down already , next get lowering springs by Progressive lower that by 1 ". Then get the low profile seat by HD ( I have a new one for sale) that will take you down another 1" and after all that you can get those Big Clumpy Boots with THICK Soles for another 1/2"? I am 5'9" and I have all that done on my Ultra it gets all that down so at least you feel comfortable. Should have had that done before you picked up the bike ?

I'm 5' 10" and have a 09 Road King Police and when I first got it, the police solo seat was high and I couldn't flat foot it. I put on a Sundowner 2-up seat and I'm fine now. The Street Glide is 2"s lower than the Road King so I would think you'd be ok. Obviously not though. Taller boot heels/soles, thinner seat or lower it some more is all I can think of.

I bought the same bike(Sedona Orange). I am 5'9" with short legs. I don't have a problem if I have my riding boots on. I can still flat foot in sneakers, just don't have as much control. I believe this bike already has the shorter shocks, so lowering it might take away from riding comfort.

I just sat on my buddies 09 SG and realised that even though the seat height was lower than my E Glide, I was having trouble flat footing because the nose of his stock seat was quite wide. I have the reduced reach seat on my E Glide and the narrower nose area was critical in resolving the same scenario, as well as the right riding boots. I am still a slight bit away from where I want to be, but those two items helped alot.

I'm 5' 11" also. I have the same problem unless I'm wearing cowboy boots on the RKC. Get a pair of them (not Stockman style) should help.

I had the same problem with my ultra when I first got it. I could flat foot my 08 Road Glide with regular riding boots. I tried the seat from the Road Glide. It lowered me some but not enough to be comfortable in all conditions. So I got some logger boots with a larger heal and sole and I do fine now. Even with a taller seat. $150 pair of boots cheapest/easiest thing I could think of. Good luck its worth it to feel comfortable. They are a heavy bikes to hold up.
