Lean Angle
What is the correct or proper lean angle for an FLHT ? I am hoping someone out there is a TECH that can clear this up. I lowered my FLHTK (2010) about 1 inch (front and rear) and the 'lean' of the bike seems - not enough. I am really careful where and how I park. Before I go spending bucks to see what works, what should the lean angle be to maintain a safe/stable parked stance (as compared to 'stock' ?
Not sure about yours but there is two jiffy stands for mine since there is an SE model in my bike family. I have both. Dawg is talking about another type of lean angle I think. You need to fix it or really watch were you park it. As is, if a tire was to go down it probably would go over. My SE stand is same appearance but with just a more acute angle. Actually a lot more and bike goes way over with it, almost like the bikes back in the 50-60's

When I had my Fatboy I lowered the carp out of it and needed to change the angle of the kickstand, so I bought an aftermarket wedge type shim that bolted under the kickstand at the frame to raise the stand a bit to give the bike more lean. I used it for years and it worked great. Doing a quick search I found this one at axiom cycles. May or may not fit your bike, but I'm sure there is one out there somewhere that would fit. http://www.axiomcycles.com/pages/ite...temsection=103
