kick stand

Default kick stand
Hey fellows

At 41 I just sold the last of many jap bikes in my life. And got a hold of a 2003 sporster I have onley put 150 miles on it and I have enjoyed it more than any bike I have ever owned. ? for you guys this bike almost stands straight up with the kick stand down and I would think they tend to fall alot I really dont see any way to adjust the kick stand to make it lean over it more any way of solving this issue with out spending a bunch of greenbacks?

stands up straight? My 00 sporty has a good amount of lean to it....has your bike been lowered? Maybe you need a shorter kick

I've never seen this as being an issue unless the bike has been lowered significantly and the stock jiffy stand. My bike has a good amount of lean when on the stand..

+1 I'd say the bike has been lowered, and prolly needs a shorter kickstand.

Agreed.
I put a piece of 2x4 under my stand when I change fluids and it still leans some even then.

A pic would help to see how much it's leaning. When I lowered mine, it stood almost straight up. Got a shorter kick stand from Licks. Made a big difference.
