Question Deep well socket pegs?

Been wondering if some Snap-On deep wells could be tig welded to the swingarm crossbolt to be used as passenger pegs, but I don't have my Nightster yet to check for myself. Has anyone done or considered this?

Sounds like an awesome idea. I'm sure it can be done, but I doubt deep wells will be long enough. Look at my setup from a plumbing warehouse. Bolt-on.

Yes it can be done, I have seen it on a bike in Austin.

And Snap-on has some extra deep sockets

That's **** man...thanks for the pics. Looks like the swingarm bolt is too close to the belt...??? Any issues with the fully exposed belt and pant legs? Where in that pic are the bolt-on pegs "supposed" to mount?

I've seen sockets used as foot pegs, riser extensions also, foot brake, shift ****..it can be a cool theme...not necessarily comfortable...but can look good.

streefighter06, that is some gnarly work. I like it!

Here is what I am running right now, comfortable and get lots of compliments.

O.C.C. did this on the Snap-On bike. Not a fan, but that is just my humble opinion.

You can position those bolt/clamps anywhere on the swingarm. I had them far back because I run cafe bars. Cost like $10. Never had an issue with the belt or their location.

I was going to say the same thing (OCC Snap-On bike).
I also saw another custom at a bike show where they also used a short (like 2 inch) extension welded to the socket to extend the pegs. It looked cool, but not sure how comfortable it would be. Personally, I think it would be slick and your boot would slide off really easy.

I was going to say that too, but forgot to mention it. They definitely would be slick, that's for sure. I would knurl them before installation, to be safe.

Like was said-it can work and maybe look good, but not the best option IMO for pegs.
