Default ape wire relocate question?

ok ive read in quite a few different threads where guys are relocating there switch wiring instead of having to extend the wiring.

i read where there saying to relocate the plugs under the radio

i bought the wild 1 wo577 and dont see how i can do it without a wire extention? ive only got about 4 inches of wires sticking out of the bars ....anyone have any pictrures or a particular thread with pictures?

much app it

chris

Unhook the fairing side of the harness from the tabs where they sit originally. Route the left and right fairing harness down each side of the radio close to the inner fairing. Should be long enough to plug in to the handlebar harness underneath the radio. I've got WO 577's on mine and thats how I did it with no extensions. The TBW was long enough to plug back in the original position.

I just put on those same bars. Under the radio worked perfectly. I used my stock handlebar isolator bushings. they're fine.

cool ill give that a wirl....

did u have an issue with the bar being a touch shorter on the clutch side?was using my stock grip to mock up to see about where everyting would sit and the bar is about 3/4 in short of being able to get the whole grip on?

heard the rubber is fine for a while but over time rubber wears from the added leverage...and i dont wana tear it all down to put some bushings in that i coulda done to start while it was apart...just me tho...thats why i was hoping i didnt have to drop another 50 on wiring...lol

I tend to keep my stuff a while. Last new bike before this current one was a 1996. I used Alloy Art Gooden Tite riser bushings. Bars have a really solid feel with no extra vibration. Make sure you torque the lower riser bolts to spec to fully compress the new bushings.
