Yes there is a thread in here on this topic but just use a long screw driver through the wheel from an opposite side to open the metal locking tabs, you may have to lightly tap on the driver and be very careful so you don't put a mark on your bike. Then just use a wrench to undo the 2 back bolts on the bumper and 1 front bolt up under the front fender.

Very easy to reinstall if you like to change it up once in awhile.

No bumpers or guards. Like it clean lookin. It only takes 30 minutes to take them off. I am going to keep them in case I sell it.

Default No bumpers for me

I thought the front one on mine collected alot of dirt and grit between the fender and bumper so off they went. I like the look also.

I like the front bumper along with the added safety the reflectors provide. Never liked the look of the chrome forks with the reflectors stuck to them.

I guess it depends on what look a person is goin for ontheir bike Some look great without it, others look great with it. On mine, I went with the nostalgic bumpers without any rubber or reflectors.

my vote goes for loosing them, remind me of the way the insurance companys mandated those gawd awful bumpers on cars in the late 70's-80's Depending on the wheel setup your running on the front like some of the guys with the 21-23" wheels, even loosing the chrome all together looks very clean.
