You can't do a 103 without opening up the bottom end. 98" is as big as you can go with just the top end. A 103" would require a stroker crank
4 3/8".

Splitting the cases and/or case boring are the only ways you get from 88" to 103". A stroker crank or case bore will do it and if you go to that much trouble and expense, case bore to fit 4.125" cylinders and go to 117". The power of a 117" makes it a necessity to true, balance and weld the crank. Oh yeah, while your at it you need to have the case fitted for the Timken crank bearing conversion. You are only talking about spending another $2500.

If that's too rich for your blood, have your cylinders bored to fit a set of 3.932" pistons, send your heads to Don Dorfman (Dewey's Heads) for his blue print andstreet port job, machine for compression necessary for SE204 or Andrews 37 cams, install a good fuel management system, good 2:1 exhaust and tune.

Others posted while I was typing. Above build plan will get the job done; very predictiable results 100/100 numbers; dependable build and will run forever if properly maintained and it won't break the bank However, there are other combinations; just depends on what you want and how you ride.

A few places offer 98 kits. GMR Performance, HQ, Tman, etc.

you can bore your 88 jugs to 95 and save a bunch of cash that way and still build a very strong 95 without cracking the cases.

Might as well bore to a 98", still don't have to split the cases.
