Default Windshield options for 2008 Street Glide?

Want to do some longer riding so the OEM windshield doesn't cut it. Any feedback on Klockwerks or other options for something that isn't plain and old man looking? :-)

Try Freedom Shields. Nice windshield and you can get it in different tint variations and height. It's also thicker than stock and very well made.

Default Windshields for SG

I have been using a 4" Wind Vest windshield in the dark smoke tint for a while now. It's curved top makes it act about 2" bigger. I tried the 6" version of it and found it to be alittle better at throwing the wind over my head but I didn't like looking throught it especially when I was looking directly in front of the bike at night. The 4" does it for me and head bobbel is kept to a minimum. I am 5'7 so depending on your height you may want something taller.

I love the LRS Ultra and it is reasonably priced.

I tried the KlockWerks 6.5 and 8.5. I am 5-11 and average build. The 8.5 was the best as far as I was concerned. Both were fine until you get above 65mph and then the 6.5 resulted in more buffeting then I wanted.

Hi Mark. Saw your post and wanted to suggest our windshields. We've been manufacturing custom motorcycle windshields for 25 years and get great reviews from riders on these forums. Also, all of our shields come wrapped in a clear plastic and we encourage our customers to test ride the shields to make sure they perform to expectation.

Give me a call if you'd like and we can discuss sizing and other options.

Thanks and have a great week!

Just go to your local glass shop (they should have plexiglass sheets) take your original in for a hole template and create your own design. Looks pretty neat etched and lit with leds.

I have a Freedom Shield. $98 delivered to your door. You can try it out and send it back for a full refund if you don't like it. Mine is a 10'' dark gray.
