starter bendix repair question

Hey bro,I noticed the starter drive that you put on your bike.What year model bike is your's. I want to get one for my 2001 FLHT,and I was just wanting to check if they might be the same.Thanks

i've seen ads in the back of motorcycle magazines where they're using truck parts to replace what's problematic with our starter drives. man ftanner you did a 103 build and didn't drill and tap the heads for manual compression releases while the heads were off? i can't imagine trying to start a high compression harley when it's hot out and the humidity is high, and the motor is hot too. in the phoenix area i'd think it'd be necessary.

that is the van bergen which is the starterdrive.com stater clutch. It is a nice starter clutch. I used one in mine.
