Like mine. Looks good. Went on easy and fit and finish are excellent. Haven't ridden enough yet to know how much different it is making over the stock shield - but planning to ride Saturday, so we'll see.
I tried one on my 2010 Ultra Limited this past summer and it caused significantly more buffeting at highway speeds than stock. FWIW, I ride with a full face helmet.
You replaced it quickly and painlessly with an Ultra for my Ultra, and for that I thank you very much! Love the Ultra shield.
I put an 8" X-Stream on my 2011 SG and it is amazing...buffeting is reduced by, I'd say 60-70% over 55 mph and I can hear the damn STEREO at that speed! I'm 6 feet even height wise for reference sake btw...
I must say the quality material and ease of install is excellent as well.
I really like my 8 inch lrs. But i am going to get a taller one, I love the looks fit and finish, i have just a little buffering, but i am 6.2. imo they are great.
As on of the original Beta testers of the X Stream I'm still very happy with my 9" on the BargeGlide and it has worn well.
But since you asked, I wonder what the airflow would be like if there wasn't quite so much bend at the little vortex winglets at each end of the main bend on either side of the top of the screen.
Also wonder how the flow would be if you "ironed out" the middle bend just a little bit so the screen didn't lay back so much.
I'm just thinking out loud here --totally happy with it but will always wonder...
