i have a 03 eg classic with a stage 3,510 ss cams, stock mufflers that have been opened up to allow more air out to comply with the mild cams. I used a cheaper control unit, the kind where you flim the little switches to comply with your mods. The bike runs well, however I lost some fuel mileage, and my bike is no stronger than stock 88s i ride with. I can get a power commander 5 the bike dynoed and maped for 420 bucks. has anyone had this same situtation and can advise weather its money well spent or will I feel like the results are so little differance its money pissed away. Advise based on experience on the subject greatly appreicated

 

I believe the PC 5 will not work on your bike. You will need the PC 3 for your year. The PC 5 plus dyno for $420. Doesn't sound like you would get mutch of a dyno tune for that price as a good dyne tune runs close to that price alone.

 

Talk to Jaime at Fuel Moto. He will be able to set you up with the correct PC with a map that will wake up your bike.

Agree with a Fuelmoto PC111. I'd also get some decent mufflers from them. I'd guess a total of around $500 and you'll run away from your buddies stock 88".
