WOW that's way High of a price for what it is. My other forum has a good bit of Baggers but I don't think they are spending that kind of money to convert them.
It does look real nice and has a few small mods to it.
WAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY to much money for that. I know V's pretty well. Seen pretty good looking DX's converted to Road Rods, even an R or two converted. This one doesn't touch them and the price is through the roof.
Seen a write up in a magazine about a bike with the Road Rod kit.
I can't decide if i like the look or not, but seems like a well designed kit.
Here's a link to the kit: http://www.cyclevisions.com/road-rod-conversion-kit/
I kinda liked that bike and paint. But too expensive. I looked around that site at other bikes & prices. They all seemed high. Maybe it's a 'Kiwi Thing'?
The vrod was built for speed. I put a set of VRSC bags on mine just in case I want to take a long ride and need a little storage. I also made sure they are the detachable ones so I can take them off on shorter trips. I bet that if HD made a vrod tour bike and kept the price under $20,000 that it would sell pretty good. it seems like alot of people are doing tour conversions on the vrods for different reasons. A set of nice bags are as close as I'm gonna get though.
I think that price is in New Zealand dollars. Not U. S. dollars. I'm guessing since it's has been about fifteen years since I was in New Zealand that their prices are simular to Canadian prices, maybe about 15-25% higher.
I didn't notice the New Zealand part. That does ease the price a little. But Jeez... 28,500 NZD ($21,658.23 US) seeing how you could get a good shape 05 VRSCA for under 8k, the asking price is high with the mods. But i don't know, that may be the only V-Rod in NZ??? which may make it more valuable? I would think he should start his bidding at 17K NZ. Maybe then he would see a lot of movement. Nothing wrong with being proud of your bike though!
