Default Plug under my tour pack liner

Took my tour pack liner out to install deluxe hinges, and noticed an empty plug. Tour pack is detachable, and I have the lighting kit on the tour pack. Anybody know what that extra plug is for? It's just laying there in the bottom of the tour pack, begging me to spend money on something I can hook up to it.

A picture would be great. Otherwise, if you don't have side marker lights on the tour pak, the connector is probably for those, but there are usually two (one connector for each side; two-wire connector: blue and black wires) at least that's how my '08 Ultra tour pak is wired. Judging by your avatar picture, it looks like the tour pak is a pre-'06 version which may have different wiring for side marker lights.

Curious about how you wired the tour pak lighting since the bike's tour pak harness is used for the tri-bar LED in the rear fender fascia on a stock SG.

Good luck with your research.

Carl

My guess is that you have the light kits installed ? If so it's probably the power wire for the tourpak lighting that is unused with the run/turn/ brake light kit installed.
But then again , it looks like you don't have the side marker lights so I would guess that it's for them.

It is the plug for a brake lite. If you install a luggage rack & the brake lite kit that goes with it. I installed one on mine.

It might be the power outlet plug if its a 2 wire plug (with brown/blue wires) and is only hot with the ign on.

If you hook up your iPhone with the appropriate adapter, it downloads specs from your bike to HOG in the event of a breakdown. This enables HD to preorder required parts for repairs before your arrival to the shop.

I was just tearing mine apart this evening to install new lights. He's talking about a small black 2 pin plug just like the plus the latest connect your lower side lights. It's coming in right inside the front left corner
