Default 09 Road Glide GPS ???

I am in the preocess of installing a Road Tech GPS on my 09 Road Glide. I've purchaed both the unit (zumo 660) and the new chrome mounting bracket. I am installing new internally wired bars and will be running the GPS wiring in the bars. Looking for suggestions on where to hardwire connect the unit?? Auxiliary switch on the dash, hot and ground spare leads in the fairing or ??? What's the best way to identify the contacts for connection? Thanks~

I installed mine on the ACC plug wires, under the seat. There is one that is ignition switched, one on the brake light, one on the ACC switch, and a ground. Just use a meter to find the one that is ignition on hot. The black wire is ground.

So you will need the black wire and the green wire on the plug end of the acc circuit.

I connected my Zumo 665 to the back of the cigarette lighter inside the fairing. You'll be inside the fairing anyway to do the bars so it's simple.

On the headlight harness there are two spare leads (+/-), they are common with the cig. lighter & operated by the ignition switch. If you connect there your GPS will come on with your ignition, & switch off with the ignition, with the exception of a 60 second delay to allow you to choose to continue using the GPS on it's internal battery or not.
