rush slip on packing

Default rush slip on packing
just wanted to know if it is okay to remove the packing around the baffles would like to know your thoughts thanx ,i am looking for a little more sound/noise and was told by a local bike shop that this would do the trick ,any sugestions would be great also they are on a 09 ultra classic electra glide

You get more noise for sure. And ya might thinks about a larger set of baffles. What diameter do you have in there now?

I just replaced the packing in my Rush 1.75 mufflers to try to quiet them down.

Get a set of 21/4 or 2 1/2 " they cost around about $70
