i was thinking about this allso
what would the sound of the pipes and exhaust fumes do to
the pups after an hour of riding ?
we have to get babysitters for our guys

I've thought about that too. That's why I'm adding a sound/temperature insulation along with the padding of the walls of the doggy compartment. The vents will be open just enough to allow air to circulate through on long rides. That's more than what Wag's Trailers have on their exclusive doggy trailers. I will be taking a couple of test rides with a Carbon Monoxide monitor and decibal readings with no pups first. Worst case scenario, no pups on a long ride and I'm out $85 for the vents and hatch.
