05 Ultra has a 6mm torque set scerw holding it on.

6mm set screw locking it into place..remove the bag and you'll see it right near the base..Thanks for the input

the ones on my 2011 dont have set screws either, had both of em off already

The new 2010 and 2011 must not have the set screw, not sure why they don't cause without one mine always unscrewed itself over time. But the OP's bike does have one. If all else fails take the set screw out and squirt some PB Blaster or other penetrating oil in the hole and wait a hour or so. Use a rag and a set of vise grips and should break loose.

The last time I went to Daytona for bike week, somebody was nice enough to remove mine for me, they just didn't bring it back. I mean if they needed the OEM antenna that bad go ahead, that was on my 07, we all know how long those are. I have a shorty now but thinking about doing the inner fairing one next time I have the fairing apart, probably need to start a thread to see how people like that one.....hmmmm

The pervious owner might have put it on with lock tight. Ya might as well know your going to tear up the rubber coating to get to the metal underneath. Get the vice grips and turn baby turn.

If you can't take it off, just tuck it under like the cross dressers do.
