Default Mini Ape's on a RKC?

any body have mini apes on there Road Kings? I have about decided to go with some Mini Ape's on My Road King Classic. Iam thinking 13" rise or smaller.
Also does anyone know if you have to change wires, clutch, brake cables on the Mini's?
Thanks for any input

Don't have the bike anymore, but had mini-apes in the past. I have used Chubby 8.5", 10" and 12.5" apes on bikes over the years, including my RK. I think the RK looks good with anything 13" or under. IMO, anything over that and it ruins the lines of the bike but to each his own. I have always changed out my cables when doing apes. You might be able to get away without changing them on the 8.5" bars, but not with anything higher.........

16 inch Apes from Cyclesmiths, very, very comfortable...13 inch blocked my mirrors.

I have the mini apes (from early dyna wide glide) on my Road King, and love them. Stock cables & brake line. You do have to adjust the metal brake line some to follow the bars. I'd recommend to anyone who wants to uncurl there wrists from the stock bars.

I have 12.5" Physco Chubby Apes on my Road King and love them. Yes I did change out the cables. +6" Throttle & Idle cables, +6" Front Brake line, +8" Clutch cable. I wouldn't consider them mini apes, being that they are 38" wide. Mini apes usually have less then 10" rise and are pretty narrow.
