Posibly, since you didnt mess with the clutch, just the cable hook up that operates it, you maybe have the bad fit and dragging parts that kit is known for, do a search on here for eazy clutch and you will find photos on how to grind away parts that drag, this will fix it they say, this is why I put the hd factory kit in my 02.

GR is right. That little "hook" that extends the stock lever inside the trap door almost always needs some attention from a dremel or grinder to make the fitting on the end of the clutch cable move freely. I have installed many WB EZ Clutches and never had to adjust the clutch ~ inside the derby cover. The only adjustments I've made are at the cable adjuster.
1st thing I'd check: Be sure that there is a little bit of free play at the clutch lever (1/16 ~ 1/8") after adjustment. That way you know that the cable is not holding the clutch partially engaged.
