Just got my bike 2012 wide glide yesterday and decided to make so changes to it. Put a clutch lever on and adjusted it properly only to find it won't or is not engaging. Tried to adjust the clutch pack still not right. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I loosen my clutch cable first then adjust the clutch pac by tightening until I reach resistance then backoff 1/2 turn then tight lock nut. Then adjust the clutch cable. Also should do the clutch pac adjustment while the motor/clutch it is not hot. Here is a good video
Start over by adjusting the clutch cable so you can see the clutch actuating, then adjust the clutch cable so it's slack. This makes sure the three ***** in the cam assembly on the opposite side of the clutch are seated correctly. Then adjust the clutch as you described. When that is done adjust the clutch cable so that there is a 1/16-1/8 inch gap between the clutch cable housing and the clutch lever housing. Should be good to go.
got it thanks for all your help, not sure why when I try to roll it on the floor it feels like the clutch lever is not pulled in. Through it up in the bike stand with back wheel off the floor, started it and it seems to work fine. I will take it for a ride soon and really test it out. Thanks again!!!

i have found on all harleys i have ever owned, if you want to roll it around, with the engine off, put it in neutral, and it will roll no problem, leaving it in gear and pulling the clutch will normaly get you nowhere. However if the engine is running and you pull the clutch in, it will roll like it is in nuetral.
