Thanks for the kind words, I was in Afghanistan for 12 months, training and other requirements of the Army resulted in it being stored for just over two years. I had put fresh fluids in and stabil before I parked it. I checked the switches and aired up the shocks today as I detailed it. The tires looked good, no dry rotting or cracking. I'll stop by the dealer and pick up some fluid for the change this week.
I'd love an SE Street Glide, but my Road King has sentimental value. I bought it on July 4, 2006 while I was in Iraq (AAFES program), not to mention it has only 4,100 miles on it. Frequent deployments and the required train-ups and other taskings between deployments leave little time for riding.
The Korengal Valley, yes.

Welcome back! I returned from the sandbox a few months back and bought my Road King through ENCS..picked it up in November and love it....probably won't ride again until July with 20 plus inches of snow coming on Tuesday
Thank you for your service Rich! My son is going through Cavalry Scout boot camp at this moment at Fort Knox.
It sounds like you did everything right- fire her up and take her on a long deserved ride!
You have enough answers to your question - but never enough expressions of gratitude from American citizens who owe a debt of gratitude to people like you who serve to preserve our freedom. Welcome home, God bless you and your family - and thanks for serving.
