Relax, you're good to go. I had a tired 1957 Corvette that idled at 5 lbs max. Ran forever. It you had no gauge and only a warning light, you wouldn't give it a second thought.
I was told that it is normal for the pressure to even go to as low as zero at idle. Has something to do with how the oil is pumped in harleys...something to do with the type of scavenger sump pump that is used in Harleys....I don't think you should worry about it and I believe what you are experiencing is normal.

Talking about other engines is foolish in my opinion. Differnt oil pumps, different oil quanities, different size of passages. Also you corvette was liquid cooled.
Different engine.
As i said on 01 and 07, it would only get to near zero when incredibly hot stuck in long as waits, like work turn at sturgis. Which is last time i can rememebr seeing it that low, the second year I went.

Also you corvette was liquid cooled ... the single biggest difference ( and the one that makes the most difference ) is that the HD is equipped with roller bearings, and as mentioned earlier flow is what you need ... Car engines are flat bearings with minimal clearance between the mains. rods and camshaft bearings
