Im thinking of upgrading my speakers and amp. Two part question are the ARC amps plug and play. Second question does anyone have this setup from hard ride audio. What amp are they useing ....is this a decent setup 2 ea 6.5 HERTZ Hi-Energy Coaxial Speakers
2 ea 6.5 Speaker Adapter Plates
1 ea Line Level Converter
1 ea Waterproof 150W 2-channel Amp
1 ea Plug & Play Wiring Harness
1 ea Hardware Kit
Price: $449.00
All I can say is I have a Sony head unit, Arc mini, and the Hertz 6.5's.
WOW, it sounds real good and crystal clear on the highway. I've tried a couple different set ups, and I'm staying with this for quite a while.
A friend of mine has the HK head unit, the ELF amp and 5.25 Hog Tunes speakers, and it sounds surprisingly well.
If you want information about hard ride audio, try using their name in the "search" function. As for what amp they use, you can call and ask and see what they say.
The Arc 125.2 is not plug and play, but no amp install will be plug and play and least with respect to the need to mount the amp and run wires for power and ground (ususally under the gas tank to the battery), and having the speaker wires disconnected from the speakers and reconnected to the inputs on the amp, then wires from the outputs on the amp to the speakers. Arc sells an install kit for $45, but it's not work the $$$ since it's basically a roll of speaker wires, butt splice connectors, etc.
I have the Arc 125.2 and it's no harder or easier to install than most other amps. The J&M amp comes with wiring harnesses to make the amp and speaker connections easier, and install brackets which are very helpful is you have or plan to add HD modules (e.g. XM, CB, Ipod).
Hogtunes amp comes with harnesses as well to make the install very simple.
You can shop the Hertz speakers from other vendors as well as the 6.5" adapter rings to get an idea of what you'll be paying for the amp and hardware included with the kit you referenced.

PS: Why title the thread "Speakers" when you wanted to know about the hard ride audio package and how to install the Arc amp?
If they are offering you a ARC amp with Hertz speakers ..you will be happy with the sound. The install on a scale 1-10 - 1 being easy the install is a 4. Good luck with whatever you decide.
+1 Just installed the J&M 7.25 speakers with the J&M 250 watt amp. Very easy to install, everything was plug and play. The only thing that was time consuming was running the power wire with fuse back to the battery. The sound kicks a$$. Order from Dr. V-Twin cheapest price. Good luck.
