The quality of the headers will always be nagging at you, in the back of your mind, if you keep them. Plus, it looks as if they took a shortcut to fix a problem, instead of scrapping the whole batch (as has already been mentioned).

I'd send them back and go with something else. Just my $0.02.

Could just be a spacer to keep the heat shield at the desired distance set of the pipe. Leave as is and install. Enjoy the new sound and ride it.

Thanks for all the replies. I found a dimple in the chrome on the front heat shield. I'm going to contact BUB and see if they can ship me out some new shields.
