I am in a similar situation. Needing to change my bars since the install of my sundowner seat. I had a reach seat before and the reach to the bars was perfect but the seat was less then perfect for long days. I have my stock bars rotated as far forward as they go to get the height I wanted. I hate reaching down toward my knees for the bars. I don't mind the width of my stock bars but would like to see them more straight across with a little more pull back while retaining some of the height.

Internal wiring is not a must for me, I have an older (05) that has throttle cables anyway so running the wires inside the bars would not clean it up all that much anyway, that and my Batwing seems to camo the wires in the first place.

Default How is your reach when turning tight?

I too have 575's on my 2011 SG. I also turned them down to get the most comfortable position cruising. I'm a little less than 5' 5" and have a hard time reaching the upper bar in a tight turn though. Have you gotten used to the reach or was it ever a problem for you?

Since I changed the bars I have had no issues at all to be honest especially since I rotated them back. I have a C&C seat on it which pulled me back an inch and even with that the bars as they are now let me sit all the back in the seat and I don't feel like I am hanging on the bars at all. Like I said .. very comfortable.

Default How is the reach in a tight turn.

Hi again,
I am very comfortable as well. I'm just wondering if anyone else is having a hard time reaching the upper bar when turning tight?

<<That is the main complaint I have heard about the HD Pull Back bars.>>

I hope not. The parts guy recommended those bars to me. Just bought a Street Glide today. Had one before and I had WO 575's on that, but didn't like them. With a Sundowner seat I needed more pullback.

I am looking for 2 inches higher than stock. Would these bars work for me. These klockweks bars can you go up with them a little more with less pull back if needed. I do not want to change my cables.

Ergo bars look TOO strait to me. Sweepers are probably the closest, but from what I have read, sit too low. (I have my stockers rotated as far up as they can go) HD pullbacks are like wheelbarrow handles.

And ALL of them for some reason, seem to feel the need to be 3-5" wider. ??? Don't need or want any more width (and inch or two would be ok, but not more than that.

Wish Yaffe made a set of 8-9" monkey bars.

Im seriously consider a custom made set.
Please let me know when/if you find the setup you are looking for. I want the EXACT same thing you are wanting. Thanks!

Curious. What IS it costing?

With the stock bars my arms were almost completely extended in the spot I was most comfortable riding so I found myself leaning forward or slouching over and if I wanted to lean back on a drivers back rest my arms would have been uncomfortably extended with no way to make a sudden turn. With my new bars being closer my arms are bent perfect at the elbow even when leaning back, you can see how they pull back in the first pic, the second one just shows how clean and thick they look Whether you install yourself or have someone install the bars, take a dremmel with a stone attachment and deburr the edges of the holes where the wires run, make it smooth, I think they punch the whole out rather than cutting it which leaves it sharp, you or the person who runs the wires will appreciate the attention to this detail.

Those bars look to be wider than the stock bars. Do you know how much wider they are?

From what I am looking at is a choice of a few of them.

Khromewerks Sweeper bars 2+2= From what the have told me they come back a couple inches and go up a couple inches from stock. I would like to know if anyone has put these on what cables need to be changed. I would be ok with changing the clutch cable, but would like to leave the wiring and brake cable alone. $80

Klockwerks Ergo Back Bars= These from what the tell me go up a little from stock and come back 2 inches. These are kind of pricey, but you do not have to do anything to cables. $280

Wild Ones 578= 10" inch monkey bar that you can pull back a little if needed. You will have to change the clutch cable, but the others should work. Little pricey again. $220

Wild Ones 575= They are a little higher and pull back. These are less gorgiving and would have to be set at an exact spot. Little pricey again. $220

So if anyone has put these on a Streetglide let me know what had to be done. Seems to me the Wild ones aren't as wide from what I can see. The others are getting a little wide.
