Saddlebag Guard Diameter?

Anyone know the diameter of the saddlebag guards ('11 Limited)?

I'm looking at a lower cost option for a water bottle cage like on a bicycle. There are a variety of nice clamps that are made for mounting a water bottle cage on bicycle handlebars, but they have narrow adjustment tolerances.

Dont know the answer but if you close an adjustable wrench around it and then measure the opening that will give you a good idea!!

The crescent wrench/hammer/pry bar/throw it across the garage floor when you get mad tool, is now a poor man's caliper too. What a tool!! I love 'em.

Just sayin'.....they're handy.
