SG and RGC test rides
Rode a 11 RGC 96 motor with a wind Splitter screen.
A used 08 SG with a slightly taller shield and air baffle.
11 SG with 103
After putting a decent amount of miles on them all I decided if we can come to terms I am going to get the SG. I still had less buffeting on the RG but prefered the set-up and feel of the SG better.
I think with a few changes I can eleminate the buffeting so going with the bike I like the looks and feel better.
Thanks for all the input

I recommend the batwing Windsplitter, and the adjustable lower fairing deflectors. (get the adjustable, you'll thank yourself on hot days) Between the 2, It cleaned up the wind noise/buffeting on mine a LOT. I had the fork baffle as well, and it did help, but it defiantly causes heat buildup under the gas tank. Nothing enough to worry about the motor, but it make things noticeably warmer in the crotch region IMHO.
The shape of the windsplitter does a great job of deflecting the air outwards around your head. Ive used 9-4" plain shields, and two different recurve shields, none of them worked as well as this 7" Windsplitter.
I dont care for the more radically formed shields. They may work great, but they just look too damn weird for my taste.
congrats on the new bike!
