Default Can the pit bull lift be used on the side stand side?

I have a pit bull lift on the way and I was reading the instructions, to have a heads up when it arrives.

They say to lift the bike opposite the side stand side...........which make perfect sense for lifting the bike to work on it

I need to roll it under a shelf .............(I made space for the handle bars and shield). ....and have the front end right up against the wall, in order to get the car in the garage. I can lift it from the opposite side and turn it around, but then the jack will be against the wall, keeping the bike out too far.

If I lift it from the side stand side, I can roll it in place and have the lift on the outside, rather than the wall side. This way the bike will be up against the wall, leaving room for the car.

It's an old house with a small garage.

The ONLY place it will fit us under the shelf.......(raised up to clear bars/shield).....with the front wheel up against the front wall. Just room for the car, this way.

Seems to me it should be OK, but without the lift here, I am not sure.

Anyone lifted from the side stand side??

It will work on either side as long as the kickstand is down.

Sure you can lift it from either side. If you lift it from the opposite side of the kick stand as it goes up it will straighten the bike up automatically. If you lift it from the kick stand side, with my lift, you have to lean the bike up straight by hand as you jack it up. A little more to it, but not a problem.

You're welcome, just make sure the lift police aren't watching when you do it.
