Default V&H Pro Pipe HO

I installed a pro pipe on my '10 RG & the thing is F'n loud! Has anyone choked one of these pipes down to make it quieter & more responsive (than stock)?

if your motor is basically stock, without any increase in compression, cams, etc, then the pro pipe HO was the wrong choice, and will be quite loud compared to the regular pro pipe. i've got the stage 3+ 103" motor and the standard chrome pro pipe flows plenty for my motor. i'm guessing it's the very large primary tubes that are making your pro pipe HO so loud. the baffle is removable and can be modified for your pro pipe h.o. surely.

I have the standard Pro Pipe.... Yeah it IS loud! Even louder with the Stage III kit! Tried the quiet baffle...doesn't quiet much... Dealer pulled the quiet baffle and stuck the old one back in..said it was holding it back too much...

Guess I'm getting ear plugs!

H.O. means high output, If you were looking for quiet and low end throttle response you got the wrong exhaust. Sell it, don't mangle it trying to make that system do something it was never meant to do. Try a Supertrapp, sorry if this isn't what you want to hear.

by the way dblkick, my pro pipe has a bit of an agressive sound, but at highway speeds it's quite stereo friendly. we drilled an additional 1/2" hole in the baffle center plate while it was on the dyno to increase flow for my motor, but it's still not too loud to be able to enjoy the stereo on the highway. it sure does howl when the throttle is romped on though.
