Welcome from Connecticut. I got my first HD this past Oct and am thrilled with my 09 FLHR. Can't wait till spring comes to be able to ride again.

I was looking at a GoldWing, but the salesman acted like I was bothering him (four wheeler season around here, you know. I wasn't interested in a Rancher 4x4). When I went into the HD Dealership, they acted like I was a long lost brother that they were welcoming home. When they didn't have anything on the floor in my price range with everything I wanted, downstairs and upstairs, the salesman grabbed his inventory sheet and said "lets go to the warehouse, I'll pull em out, and you ride em." Now thats what I'm talking about.

I had two Yamahas I sold last year to buy my first HD, a 2007 RSV and a 2008 Stratoliner. I agree completely about the HD Dealers treating you like a new friend. Happy with your trade? My 2010 FLHTC isn't a better bike than my Venture, but so far I like it better.

Welcome and congrats on your new ride!

This is my first HD also, when I went to the HD dealer on a VTX they welcomed me with open arms. After I purchased the HD I went back to the Honda dealer where everyone looked like they wanted to ask what was I doing there.

Funny thing is the owner of the Honda dealer I believe he also owns the BMW dealer next door and 2 Harley dealers.

If this UC is as good as the RSV, it'll never, never know what it feels like to have a wrench touch it for anything other than fluid changes, add some safety chrome, or R&R the ignition switch (apparently a common RSV flaw). 40,000 trouble free miles, however; the very first Electra Glide UC I rode, I was ready to take it home. HD wouldn't warranty it cause something bout a Stage IV kit. So I settled for the 4th UC I rode. The 07 RSV is Blue/Black. Favorite color RSV.
