It is unlikean import in every way. I have had goldwings, Star Classics, inturders, and a vulcan. My complaint for all of them was that at the time I owned them; I wished it was a harley.
Never thought I could afford one, Made the leap to HD this past August. First thing I said to my self was, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! this is awesome!!!!! You are gonna love that ride!!!! I cant say enough about my FLHTK. Come on spring, or summer holiday, in my case.

Congrats and welcome! I too was an RSV rider, since 2000 and I also have a an 06 Strat I bought in 09. Loved both those bikes. I have had several others prior to those two, but I have really enjoyed those two bikes over the years, until I bought my Ultra last year. I was hoping that Yammie was going to update and modernize the RSV - they didn't, so it was time to change. I always loved the looks of the HD and some of the engineering strides that Moco takes. Something to be said for a company that almost every year they make some sort of improvement to their bikes.

Now I have my RSV and Strat up for sale. As soon as they sell I will then start looking for a RKC to make my bling show piece like I did with my Strat.

Enjoy - this forum is very helpful!

Default Update

As promised attached is a pictures of my bike, I also would like to comment on my Harley experience so far. As you know I was riding Victory's since 2003 and they are a great bike also. I too always wanted a Harley so I bought a 2011 Limited with SE pro tuner, 255 SE cams, Rhinehart slipons which were replaced due to discoloring on right side. I now have the Vance & Hines Dresser duals with Vance & Hines HO slipons. And I have added other chrome accessories!

Anyways the bike, the limited fits me very well as if it was built for my size, the power is good with the 255's installed the torque is excellent. I did have it dynoed and was expecting more HP and torque but it did make quite a difference compared to the downloaded map. The jury is still out on the comparison between my Victory Crossroads for longe range comfort so I won't comment on that until I complete my 2 province and 7 state trip in June. The Limited is not as nimble in parking lots as the Crossroads but the Limited is heavier and also has the batwing which is the difference and it is no big deal to me.

So far I have to say for me and me only the Limited is a better ride, my Harley experience has exceeded my expectations so far and I will go out on a limb here saying that my big trip in June will be excellent too. I just need some long range saddle time in my Limited to make a final comment.

I am glad I made the switch and have no regrets! Take a look at the Cannons ( Vance & Hines HO Exhaust)

Just got back from a 1500 mile tour of Texas. The limited was great. No problems.

Congrats and welcome. I too rode many other things, for many years; I wish I had made the switch years ago. Enjoy.
