You might want to tear it down before that metal takes anything else out such as the main shaft bearing or clutch plates. While it's apart, good time for an S.E. compensator and clutch diaphram spring.
Master, sorrry to hear about your bad luck. I'm not a wrench by no means, and this is just a guess/long shot. On my 08 SG, last summer I had primary fluid leaking into the starter. I was about 1,200 miles from home and the guy who we were staying with actually worked at the HD dealer. Not a wrench but worked in parts. He assumed it was just a primary seal, because of where the oil was dripping. Down the belt guard and under that area. Anyways, when I got home, I took it into to my local Indy and what a surprise. The starter was just blacker than a dead seagull from an oil spill. Just filled with oil. The Indy was amazed that I didn't fry the starter or break down on the side of the road. It was all covered under warr. but I never would of thought it could have been the starter seal, allowing the fluid to enter the cavity. Hope this helps dude...Good luck.
I am tearin into it now,I have the SE COMP and the SE spring (before I pick up new bike I have them put new med SE spring in). Will check clutch though.

I kind of remember metioning the stator on the other thread, hmmmm...well, I hope that fixes your problem and everything works out ok. BTW how did that cam install go last week?
Yeah ya did and you were right, its fried. Cam install went well, I like this cam a lot. I like the whole FM 107 with 54 cam Bigboyz heads combo.
Only thingI might change is the Bub 7 2-1, sounds nice but giving up some low end grunt.

Unless it's already installed, I would not opt for the SE spring. It will stiffen your clutch operation considerably and you likely don't need it unless you have a build substantially stronger than stock. Fuel Moto's 107 kits don't even require a spring change according to them.
