Default heated grip installation

picked up my new ultra and would like to install heated grips(i know, most would say go with the gloves) but I want the grips. My dealer wants about 100 bucks to install and was wondering if any one had done this on a bike with a fairing. Understand wiring is fed through the bars. Anybody done this job and is it worth paying someone else to do it?
Any installation instruction would be most appreciated

They come with instructions and it is a bit tricky. If ya don't feel comfortable, let a pro do it....$100 aint bad for the job!

I suggest you really pin them down on that install price....make absolutely sure they will honor it. I was quoted something like 3 hours labor for that job; at around $75 per. I decided against the whole deal because of the install. Also, because the H-D heated grips have a lousy reputation for holding up well. You might want to look into 'Hotgrips'. I've heard much better reliability out of them.
