That looks GREAT!! Ive got chrome forks, chrome floating rotors, and chrome calipers in boxes just WAITING for me to dive it. Coaching little league has taken all my spare time lately. I'm HOPING to find the time within the next couple of months to get after it!
Today, I finally took the time to install the chrome front end I have had in a box for over a month.
Wow, what a difference it made in the looks of the bike. With the chrome wheels it really pops. I am very, very, pleased with the outcome.
It really was not that bad of a job. I just took my time and exercised a lot of patience. I even took the time to re-aim the headlamp per the instructions in the manual. It was aimed way off from the factory.
It was just getting dark outside when I finished, so I could'nt get any real good pics. I took these in the "Harley Garage" . LOL
Good job, change the lower trim piece in the front fender, looks nasty and a chrome one is only 30 bucks.
Yea, I know, the aluminum finish on the front fender skirt looks a little dull next to the chrome.
Next up is adding chrome screens to the brake calipers and changing out the front fender skirt to chrome.
When I get those changed I don't think I will have any aluminum showing on the bike. Except for the engine cooling fins.
Seems like I just can't stop finding things to spend $$$$ on for this bike. LOL
You and I spoke on another thread about the agitator wheels and you recommended airstrikes for my EG Classic. I found a set of SG wheels on Craigslist for $300, with tires. I am in Phoenix and there is a company in LA that would swap for chrome, $500. He also has the chrome lowers and cans for an additional $300 plus rotors for $200. So I am looking at $$1300 plus about $400 labor and the whole thing would be chromed out. Thinking about it...

The Airstrikes are a lot of bling for the buck:
Prices are very close estimates, I don't have the receipts in front of me.
$400 each from Lake Shore HD. $499 retail
$135 18" front tire, re-mounted 16" rear tire.
$190 E-bay front polished rotors, used original rear rotor. $150 wheel install kits
$1275 approx. plus any labor incurred. Except for tire mounting, I installed everything myself.
I know there are better looking custom wheels out there, but for the money the Airstikes look pretty good.
