I bought what I could afford and it happened to be white.
Looking back I have had several comments on the bike's color ... some were nice and complimented the color combination, and others just can't get past the "real Harley's are black".
I've been to enough rallies and bike events to know that my bike sticks out in a crowd ... And I like that!
When I first decided I was going to buy an Ultra, I was aiming for a white 08 model. It was a solid color with fine gold pin striping and I thought it was just classic. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, personal financed conspired to keep me from buying the 08. Unexpected household maintenance can do that to you! Anyway, I wound up buying an 09 and got the Redhot Sunglow / Smokey Gold combo. The white 09's were a two tone (white and silver) which just didn't do it for me. If it had been a solid color, that's probably what I would have stuck with that color. Then I saw my first Sunglow / Smokey Gold and fell in love which really surprised me as the solid Redhot Sunglow bikes did nothing for me and red in any form was "way" down on my list. Adding that Smokey Gold two tone makes all the difference (for me anyway! ) so that's what I ended up with. I don't regret it one bit other than it's not much better than black in terms of keeping it clean, seems to attract every bug within 10 miles when I riding down the road!
I ride an 02RKC and love the Glacier White Pearl. Might have it Ghost-Flamed with Silver Pearl. Either way it goes, I like it because it doesn't show dirt as bad a the darker colors. Look ay my garage. I think the most important thing (apart from riding it) is to like what you ride, and if you don't you need to change it. I mean after all, it's your bike!!! If you like it who cares what anybody else thinks about it! RIDE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!!!!!

Reason: didn't get finished, hit the wrong button!
I had a friend who bought a 1986 Dresser which was a Special Edition. White and Gold and it was a Bike of my Dreams Beautiful. It also was a LOW bike which was perfect for me . Now they are higher up and do not make a WHITE DRESSER ! Man I can only wish !
Everyone knows black bikes are faster. If you don't want or need the fastest color, white is great. I'm not sure where white is on the speed chart, just that it is somewhere behind black.
When I was buying my 02 Road King Classic, my first choice was white. I didn't get the white deal put together, but I did get the black deal put together...so I have a black 02 RKC.
Its a motorcycle.......its yours.........if you like white or purple who cares.....I appreciate the ride not the color....the only color/bike I could not do is that Yellow honda goldwing thing.....geez.....yellow on a 1200 is good but that Wing looks like a Kids toy coming
