Default Ebay lowering kit

Anyone have the lowering kit sold on ebay by hbendsteel? I have installed this but dont have it off the jack yet because my inner fairing is being painted. Any thoughts on these type of rear lowering kits that move stock shock back and down?

If its a three position setting, dont put on the last, your tire will rub and if you ride two up, you will bottom out using the 2nd position.

It has the one or two inch setting. Just doesnt look very sturdy. I have money wrapped up in everything else and dont want to have a problem when my wife is with me.

Had the Arlen Ness kit similar on my VRod worked pretty good but you do loose a little of the effectiveness of the shocks the mor horizontal they get

note:some lowering blocks change the shock angle and place additional stress on older rear tuning fork axle support.

have used the 3 position one for over a year now , just went to the first hole for a 1" drop. no problems and works well even with wifey on back..........
keep an eye on belt tension after installation.

Take a look at the LACHOPPERS rear lowering kit. It looks like a VERY sturdy unit and seems to keep the shock posistion as close to original ?
I think these kits are OK for 1" but any more and you may have a BIG problem ? There are many other ways of getting to that problem and fixing it.

GOOD LUCK in getting it done

Your a lot safer with shorter shocks than a lowering kit.

+1. I scored a pair of Street Glide shocks on eBay for under $100 that lowered the back of my Road King nicely.
