Default Kuryakyn brackets

I installed the 4588 brackets on my 2010 FLHTC today. My problem is the original floorboard bolts would not fit through the extender brackets. So I thought I was being smart so I switched the bolts around and used the Kury bolts to mmount the boards. However they seem sloppy and loose. Anybody else have this problem or can tell me what I did wrong.

Did you use washers like in pic 4 on the instruction sheet?

Yes. The boards arent real sloppy, just a little bit and I'm thinking a couple of extra washers will fix that. But the OEM fasteners are supposed to fasten the floorboards to the brackets, right? Mine would not go through the bracket.

You use the Stock Harley hardware to install the brackets to the bike, and the new Kuryakyn hardware to install the floorboards to the new brackets. I had to go to my hardware store and buy a few more washers to make a more snug fit, they had chrome ones in stock.
