What the? Kuryakyn Relocator Brackets Driver Boards
Am I wrong? Was there not a time that Kuryakyn made a decent product?
Tried their foot-board recolator brackets on a 07 Ultra. Long short, they are loose fitting, look horrible when looking down at them and no matter how you adjust them, I cannot stop them from leaning on the front fairing lip.
Talk about over complicating the simple. For $85 you would think they could recreate an entirely new chrome bracket that is extended out an inch.
Lesson learned.
Anyone know of an alternative product that functions and looks better. Or maybe just wider footboards?
I installed the same Kury product and took them off shortly after. Way too loose fitting for me. Ended up getting the Harleygoodies foot board extenders for 1" out and the HD extended foot board pans for 1" forward. Everything is nice and tight. Love the setup.
Never even got mine installed. Loose fitting and the stock hardware did not fit through their bracket.
Was going to source some shims and the correct hardware, but if I can find my receipt, I might return them instead....
Glad to see that I was not alone in my thinking! Back they go.
I did look before for the Harleygoodies version with out success. Now I know where to look. Also the Pingel versions look like a decent product as well.
Probably go one of the two routes above. Seems like a better concept then the mess that Kury designed. Save for me finding a complete floorboard bracket that is extended.
