The bars come with a new riser. I changed out all my cables, but I do believe you need a longer clutch and brake line. I was getting a chrome front end done at the same time, so I went all out with new everything.
They're great bars, very natural wrist position, more height and a fair amount of pullback. I feel as though I can control the bike better at all speeds, and no longer reach forward. I'm 6'2" if that helps any.
Yea thats a big help, I am also 6'2" I had my seat done by meancity went back and down with the position but I want my hands up a little higher. Thanks for the info man.
Lots of RK owners swear by apes, 12" and higher for comfort and looks- I' m one of them. The Wild 1s have an awesome pullback, a very wide and solid width and 12.5" chubbies put my wrists about at armpit level; I'm 5'7" with 33" sleeve. I have gone:1) RK High 2) 12.5" Chubbies and now switching to 3) 14" chubbies...they are just that comfortable....see the RK with Apehangers thread:
