Looking for Bars??
I have it narrowed down to three different style handlebars with comfort in mind. Is anyone running the RK fat handlebar P/N56032-08 on this bar I am wondering if the 2" rise over stock made a difference, the 12" fat mini-ape P/N 56832-04A seems to be the most comfortable but not sure about the look, and finally the narrow beach bar for the heritage softail classic P/N 56857-05 not sure if this would fit an 2009 RK but I dont see why it would not. If you have pics that would be great. My reason for changing is I would like my hands a little higher and a little more pullback i get that sharp pain between the shoulder blades after long rides.
Bear in mind that your bike has TBW and the bars are notched and have an oval cut out on the bottom for the TBW wiring to exit. The bars will fit, you may have to modify them though with the notches and oval.
Thanks
The answer is dependent on the rider. I have gone through multiple changes in seats and handlebars and think I have the right solution (for me) in the Wild One RKII 5018 bars. I say "I think" because I have not yet had the opportunity to test them on a 100 mile plus ride, and that is the only true test that I am aware of.
Don't take my comments, or anyone elses, as meaningfull unless you also know their seat (mine is the Sundowner at this point) height, inseam and sleeve length (I am 5'10", 30 Inch inseam and 33/34 sleeve). If you are 6 foot tall with 35 inch sleeve and 34 inch inseam, your comfort factor would be totally different than mine. Also, be certain their comments apply to your year/model. It has cost me big bucks to finally conclude that setting up the handlebar/seat is the same as buying a suit - you need to get YOUR size...
It would really be nice if there could be a spreadsheet type form that we could enter info directly into which would specify the different handlebar and seat combinations along with rider measurements and satisfaction as well as whether or not lines and cables need to be extended. Such a tool would save big bucks for those who find the OEM equipment to be less than perfect...
Good Luck

I'm running the Fat Bars on an '05 RK, the bends for the '08 and up bikes is slightly different than mine, but very comfortable bar.

I really like the way those bars look, The height looks about right, may give these a try. Did you have to change the clutch cable, riser, and/or brake lines to get these bars to work on your bike.

They're great bars, very natural wrist position, more height and a fair amount of pullback. I feel as though I can control the bike better at all speeds, and no longer reach forward. I'm 6'2" if that helps any.
