I recently shipped my bike to Los Angeles (before Christmas) for a 10 day holiday visit with my wife's family. My Brother-in-Law and I ride every time I make it out there. I usually rent a bike from a local HD dealer but this year I wanted to ride my own. Unfortunately the rear end was damaged in transit. Fortunately the damage was only cosmetic, to the tri-bar light fascia and the bottom edge of the rear fender. The transport company has insurance with a zero deductible so at least it won't cost me anything to return it to stock condition. I figured when life gives you lemons, make lemonade so I decided to use this as an opportunity to defray some of the cost to change out my rear end to the CVO rear. With the weather here in DFW I finally made it in to my dealer yesterday for an estimate and ordered the parts for the transformation.
The CVO fascia and LEDs are back ordered so it's going to be longer than I had hoped for until it's done.
Thanks to all that have done this and contributed to earlier posts, the info was greatly appreciated.
The last 2 photos are not my bike.....they are from a forum member here who has done the upgrade, I picked them up during my research here going through prior posts.
