Oh, I understand the term. I just wanted to hear why LED lighting for "anything other than tail lights" makes someone a RUB. And why is it ok for tail lights? What about turn signals? And for that matter, what about FRONT turn signals?

Silly-a$$ comments some days.

I see, didn't know you knew the term. And yes, why comment on the thread if you don't have something useful to add. I don't get it. He must be a real biker.

I have them on mine. I have the Kuryakyn Lizard Lights. Eight light set they go Steady, Flash one color or multicolor and I have the remote. Do I sense a case of Envy here with the RUB ****? If I have it and want to spend it that's my business. If you don't like it keep it to yourself and I won't say anything about your choices.

I have Joe Florida's 162 LED multi color kit. Install was about 6 hours in my garage. I was so long because I was **** about hiding the wires. I took the tank off.

1) 2-24-LED Strip under gas tank.
2) 6-LED Strip behind the BREATHER between the two cylinder heads
3) 6-LED Strip behind the HORN between the two cylinder heads
4) 2-6-LED Strip to the fork on the right/left side of Front Wheel
5) 2-6-LED Strip to the right/left side of the Rear Wheel
6) 6-LED Strip above trany
7) 6-LED Strip behind the chrome cover under the head light
8) 2-30-LED Strip on bottom of the frame for ground coverage
9) 6-LED Strip under tour Pak

I love mine!

Thanks for the vid link, the time to install and cost info and the Joe Florida heads up.
I'm only interested in lighting the engine area, and only if I can hide all wires and
LED strips. I think I'll give Joe F. a call.

I love those lighting kits, and am also going to do this soon.
I looked at my last paycheck and realised I am just a PUB: ('wannabe' RUB).....
Thanks for the links and info!

With my install you can only see the LED itself in reflections in the chrome all LEDs are hidden from sight. The ones over the engine are on the bottom edges of the square frame.

Ditto here (WV/VA/PA/DC). I have 112 blue LEDs lighting my engine bay and the bottom of my saddle bags. As long as I'm riding with a group at something like Rolling Thunder, Gettyburg Bike Week, etc I don't worry about turning them on, but Deputy Bubba will pull me over in a heart beat if I'm by myself. They do look awesome with the black ice pearl/blue ice pearl at night though. Really makes the pearl stand out.

At first, these LED lights really annoyed me & I thought they looked too much like the goofy lights that kids put in their lowered Toyotas. But I have to admit that they really do increase visibility at night. Buddy of mine has them on his bike, and you definately see him going down the road.

Still not sure that I'd want them on mine, but to each his own!
