Default cams

So I am going to install the se cam plate. While I am there I might as well change cams but so many to choose from. 2005 88ci currently with D&D fat cat and a se heavy breather but may or may not bump up to 95 next yr. Any recommendations or dyno numbers would be greatly appreciated.

I went with SE 204s on mine. Made a big difference on 2up riding. The same long hill that I used to have to downshift in to 4th to make, I can now make in 5th. Changed the sound on the SE pipes too.Having the heads ported next month then I'm done (famous last words).

I'm in a similar situation. Gonna change plate to upgrade to hydraulic cam chain tensioner, so I'm goin with some se203's. Good bolt in cam with the low end torque boost that my bagger needs for two up riding. No hot rod, just a little extra torque.

If I had an early TC88/95 I would install the Andrews conversion kit and 48H conversion cams. These cams have similar characteristics as the SE255, which aren't available for the early TC engines.

I just did the Herko/Andrews kit with a different set of cams. The kit has everything you need, except pushrod tube O-rings. Those are in the quick install pushrod kit that I did not purchase since I already had adjustables. It was no big deal since I needed to go to the local HD shop to get my girlfriend's valentine's present.

It was a quick install and I love how much quieter the valvetrain is over the SE-211's and the stock oil pump. I am still tuning on the bike but I like these cams. It was definitely a good upgrade.
