I bought the Harley I wanted, and a nice deal, I might add, and used to second guess my decision and look at bikes for hours on the puter.
My bike is an 04 classic, was a one owner when I got it, thought it was too big, but with lowering, new boots and lots of miles or should I say smiles , on the bike, Iv'e fallen in love. O sure, I could go get a new one and make payments, but what for?, this ones payed for, Iv'e made it my own. Never was much on "brand new" anyway. Bike has a 42mm mikuni carb, perfomance mufflers, screaming eagle air filter and hydraulic cam-plate up grade and a few other odds and ends. And its black! I appreciate all of those who by new keepin the economy rollin tho.
Maybe if I keep mine alive long enough, it will become a real classic.
...yup...there's nothin like having a fully paid-for-bike...my 05 Classic does anything I need it to do....and NOT writing a big check every month makes it even sweeter....
Nothing wrong with taking advantage of a great deal, and there's a ton of them out there now! If you have the cash and want a brand new bike, all the power to ya too! I love letting someone else pay for the depreciation though....
What SHORE, you don't love your bike?! You know what I mean and I still admire a nice machine when I see one. And yes, new is nice if you can afford it.
