Default Stock 103 cam question

I have a 2010 FLHTK Ultra Limited with the 103 engine in it. I did intake, Rinehart slip-ons, removed the cat (still 2-1-2), and installed a tuner when I first got the bike. I still find myself a bit disappointed with the performance, and find myself shifting in and out of 6th quite frequently. So, I am going to put a new set of cams in the bike, however my mechanic (who has not taken a stock 103 apart yet) questions if my bike has stock cams in it, or might it possibly have 255's (or something else) in it from the factory. He is supposed to get the part numbers tomorrow from the dealer and confirm, just wondering if anyone out there knows.

In case you are wondering, I have selected the Andrews TW-37b cams, new bearings, and new adjustable push rods.

Default they are same as stock 96

this has been posted several times on here. the 103 bike from harley has exactly the same cams as a stock 96. I put the 103 kit with 255 cams in my 2009 ultra. It pulls alot more than the stock 96 did. On hills in penn. it has no problem pulling up some pretty steep grades and I dont have to gear down as much as I used to. I live in niagara falls and drove it to daytona in october and got 38-42 us miles per gallon at 70 mph. I have my sepst or screaming eagle race tuner set to 14.2 afr for the trip but usually have it around 13.8 afr. I still want to add mva heads , vance and hines power duels and monster rounds then finally get it dynoed for a real good arf, timing set up. I have only done mods using the racer tuner in record mode and modifying maps from recorded data so far. I would include pics of engine build but I dont have any on this computer, my other one with pics crapped out. Good thing they are all backed up on another hard drive. I took pics of every single thing inside the engine when I did the 103 kit job. Dont forget to upgrade the inner cam berings when you have the cams out. the upgrade has double the needles in the bearings, for the huge cost of 11 bucks I dont know why harley doesnt just put them in the bikes as stock. Im sure the public could handle and extra 5 bucks to the cost of the bike, and based on harley selling them to us for 11 they probably pay less than 5 from bearing company

Thanks for the quick reply Pearle, I hope my experience is similar to yours.

Let me ask this question in a different way. Does anyone have the specs off of the stock 103 cams, lift, exhaust, intake, etc? I have the specs from my new cams and I would like to compare them.

Thanks,
Matthew

Default 103 cams

My opinion would be to contact Jamie at http://www.fuelmotousa.com . He will be able to help you. I'd help you but, I'm trying to shovel out of another snow storm here in Wisconsin. This global warming is killing me.

Thanks Ultra Man. I have your exact bike, and now I'm jonesin' to put the detachable tour pack on mine. I'm only 30 years old, and I traded in my road king classic as my wife and I travel long distance on the bike, however I do feel it makes me look a little older than I am. The detachable tour pack would be the perfect fit for my bike. I'll be looking into that. I might hit you up on PM with any questions. Good luck with the shoveling!

I started out with the 255 cams, it helped but I was not satisfied. So I had the 103 installed and that made the big difference. You can see at the bottom of the pic the dyno results. I am not into speed but just want the torque.
