That is a great project! looking forward to seeing it ready to roll. I am rebuilding a 06 RK I bought from salvage. Just about to paint it. Have had to go as I get the money. Can't wait to get on that Big Twin at last!!
Mike -- Thanks for the advice on the V&H FuelPac....I put it back on last night, and it sounds like the motor is definetly running smoother, and has a better throttle response. I adjusted all 3 pots to just above stock into rich. I took her around the neighborhood and she felt better, but I need to take her on the highway and see how she does. Do you remember how your pots are adjusted?

Actually, I've already taken her out a few times, still have a few things left to do to her. i.e. custom paint, stretched saddle bags, slip-ons, etc...
But overall she's in much better condition than I thought she would be after not running for 9 years. Got any pics of your 06? I'm glad that other people are pulling these bikes from salvage besides me. The majority that get totalled out by insurance companies just need some TLC to get back on the road.

I back off of mine just a little when I see black smoke coming from the exhaust.
