I don't know if I'd get one, but I'll keep an eye on the post

would be interested in this. Getting used to the TBW thing, there is slight lag- so this may be the ticket

Put it on my bike 2 weeks ago and like it, does what they say. The bike is a 2010 flhtk with ported heads hq 575 cams and 49T clutch hub. Spins up a lot faster now before it was around 3000 rpm for it to kick in... this was after the mods to the engine.

quick question. 2009 ultra with V+H true duals straight shots, stage one, PC5 and dyno"d. Bike feels like I'm starting in 2nd gear unless i really lay on the throttle. little scary trying to get out into traffic. will this thing take care of that sluggish throttle response ? will the PC 5 adjust this problem. or should my dyno guy have caught this and taken care of it. this is my first TBW harley and can't stop comparing it to my other harley's with the cable throttle. thanks for the help.

I was told by a V&H engineer at Daytona the Throttlepak was designed to overcome the built-in lag in throttle plate response that Harley has to program in to stock bikes. Something about an EPA noise reg. governing how much noise is emitted by the air intake. I'm not familiar with Power Commanders or other plug and play solutions, but I can tell you this: my 09 RG w/V&H Monster Ovals, SE air cleaner and SE Race Tuner was dynoed before I installed the Throttlepak. There seems to be no change in the overall tune, Same seat of the pants feel, same MPG. There is however a big improvement in throttle response when you twist the grip quickly. A roll-on situation...not so much. I'm happy with the rideability improvement the Throttlepak provides. And yes, when you crank the throttle, there is more noise coming from the air cleaner... reminds me of the days when we used to turn the air cleaner lid upside down on quadrajet equipped chevys.

Put the Throttle Pack on my 09 CVO Ultra and my wifes 10 CVO Streetglide. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!! It works and it's $189 all in, shipped from Eastern Performance.
Does exactly what it's supposed to do and the install is really easy.
I would suggest that if you do install it, use plenty of dilectric grease on the connectors while you're at it. Been some reports of corrosion on these.
Have fun.

I have the exact same situation with my '08 FLHX. My local dealer had a test unit that they loaned me to try. I am going on a ride tomorrow to see if it fixes the issue. I will post up my thoughts after I ride it.

After a couple of hours of riding in town, I'm not sold on it. Maybe because my bike has been on a dyno and been tuned already. The problem that I am trying to fix is the initial lag, when taking off from a stop. I did feel the difference of the response time when cracking the throttle, but it didn't help MY ISSUE...

I thought about getting one of these for the SG a few weeks ago around the same time i ordered the power vision from Fuel Moto. I asked Jamie about what he knew about the throttle pak, he said they havn't really tested them. He did however recommend not using one with the tune he sent me with the power vision. He stated that it may throw off the a/f table delivered to the bike. Anybody else hear different?

Default not a great benefit

FWIW I had the opportunity to use the throttle pak on my 2010 street glide. It is currently a 107, headwork, tune etc. It does improve throttle response. BUT I experienced on my latest 1000 mile ride it would put the bike in limp mode after stopping to fuel up and re-starting. It did throw a code, but being on the rode I didnt write it down and just cleared it. After removing the throttle pak all returned to normal...
