Default Tire question

I have 2 new Avon 140/60-16 venom tires

These are the AM 42 version

I have a 2003 Road Glide that take that size on front and back.

The 42 say rear so I believe the front match is actually the AM 41 in the same size.

Looking at the picture the tread is a bit different between the two but the write up is the same.

So would I see any major difference if I ran the 42 on front and back?

Got one free so will use it if I can,

Thanks

Can't answer your question but at a minimum you have two tire changes for your rear. I would take that as a freeby.

Well I decided to buy the AM 41 front tire.

Do not want to fined out the hard way that the 42 does not handle well on the front.

Looks like the 41 has grove in the center that the 42 does not. I am guessing that is for better handling in rain.

NOt the place to test tires.

Will keep the other one as a replacement rear tire, not like I will not use it

Thanks

Louis, you did the right thing! Most modern tyres come as a front and rear pair, they are not the same. Front is normally 130 wide.
